Knives Drop Ship

In a voyage of endless money-making opportunities, the island of dropshipping stands out. It lures you with lianas of easy access, gold sands of all-prize deals and clear-sky of zero hassle. You are a stockless retailer here. Of course, like any other lush islands it is sometimes attacked by pirates, who come and fill the sky with smoke.

Those are bad drop shippers, companies who distribute goods and who do not fulfill their obligations to you or your customer, which is anyway to you, because your customer has no idea about the dropshipper’s existence.
Knives drop ship

So you need a knife. Knife is something people learned to make very early in their history and still cannot make do without an instrument. Though, mixers and food processors confidently entered kitchens, it is hard to imagine a cook without a chef’s knife, a housewife without a kitchen knife, a little fella without a pocket knife.

Knives with their sharp edges and blades served as an inspiration tool for many poets, artists and film directors ( Mishaps are like knives, that either serve us or cut us, as we grasp them by the blade or by the handle – Lowell, James Russell ). Writers used penknives, which were associated with art and charm, to sharpen their pens, while others – in pipe-smoking, fishing or shooting.

They fascinated the minds of great men and serial killers. Besides being a functional tool, the knife has also been an object of desire, a decoration. Ladies’ knives with handles made of mother of pearl and tortoiseshell complimented the feminine purse line of scissors, nail files or button-hooks.

So among other products to drop ship, knives are one of the most popular items. They are universal, each household needs them and they come in different sizes and varieties. You can differentiate a bread knife, a carving knife, cheese, clasp, fish and paper knives, lock and tactical knives, 1-, 2- and 3-blade knives, steak knife, Stanley knife, etc. Alongside knives and knife sets, you can offer sharpeners, knife cases and cutlery sets to go with.

The knife is a great dropshipping object, because their handles tend to break and some creative personas follow the fashion, and there is trendsetting even in this area. There are knife-making specialists, who produce 8-12 state-of-the-art vintage knives a year. As it happens with many other objects that we never perceive as being a museum artifact, there are hunted-for rarities here.

You can fish the dropshippers websites for discounts or knife-enthusiast websites to find out, which knives are most wanted. There are plenty of knife manufacturers – Benchmade, Krause, Benchmark, etc. – choose for yourself. The Shooting Industry magazine named Benchmade Model 425 Gravitator Knife of the Year (2005).
When you decide to include knives on your retail product list, one of the main points is to choose a legitimate distributor and avoid getting into the e-traps set out by trouble-making middlemen. Remember: no fulfillment fees, no minimum order, no registration fees and the delivery is on the distributor.

Now it is a good idea to check our free drop ship directory to find a dropship merchant of products you need.

Looking Back On My First Year With A Home Based Business

By Kirk Bannerman

For reasons that escape me now, I kept sort of a diary during my first full year of working at a home based business.  It was nothing close to being a complete daily diary, but was more of a collection of scribbles about things that I felt were worthy of note at the time.  Since quite a bit of time has passed since then, I decided to revisit these notes.

In no particular order, here are some of the things that I had made note of.

Choosing the path…in the beginning, my enthusiasm was very high (perhaps too high?) and I was chasing off on several different home-based business opportunities at the same time (exhibiting the “dog in a meat market” syndrome, I suppose) and not focusing my efforts enough to be successful at any single one of them.  I finally reigned myself in and focused on a single work at home business opportunity.

In other notes I find reference to emotional and/or psychological issues that I experienced and are probably typical for most people when starting a home based business.  When working at home a person can, at times, experience a feeling of isolation which is probably brought on by the lack of interaction of a work force  environment.

There were also periods of doubt in the early going…did I pick a viable business opportunity?…am I doing the right things to develop my business?…when will I start making a profit?, and so on.

Many of the entries in my so-called diary had to do with the proverbial “two steps forward and one step backward” thing and the ever-looming temptation to become discouraged.  Although I  didn’t appreciate it at the time, it is now obvious that as long as you have more steps forward than backward you will eventually get ahead!  Isn’t hindsight wonderful?

Other entries reflect the fact that relatively minor events can seem huge in the early stages of developing a work at home business and can really contribute to an emotional roller coaster ride.  For example, if you are just starting out and you have two customers/clients and you lose one…that’s a 50% drop!  However, if you fast-forward in time to the point where you have hundreds of customers/clients and you lose one…that’s just a mere  fraction of 1%!  Same event, just at a different point in time.

Looking back on it now, some of the stuff I recorded now seems humorous, but I’m pretty sure that was not the case at the time  I made the notations.

Mom Entrepreneur Mentors

Mom Entrepreneur Mentors: “The Things I Wish I Would Have Known While Working My Business and Raising My Family”
Moms are busy people.  Raising a family makes you busy, but when you throw in the added responsibilities of running a business, you may feel like a professional juggler trying your hardest every day not to “drop the ball”.  Today’s Mom Entrepreneurs are so busy juggling their family and business, some days it may be difficult to find time to breathe.  The Business Mom believes the benefit and good advice of Moms who have already raised their families is priceless and will help you to set our priorities.  A special thank you goes to the following Moms from NAFE’s For You Network for taking the time to share their thoughts and stories.

Reminder #1:  Children grow up quickly…
Meli Van Natta’s son was seven years old and her daughter was four when she got into the real estate business.  Meli of Prudential California Realty says, “I learned that children grow up quickly and you can never recapture the time that you miss.”  If she had it to do over again, she would have arranged her schedule to spend more time with them even if it affected her business.  Now that she is older (and wiser), Meli realizes that she could have delegated some tasks, maybe taken on a partner, and she didn’t have to attend all the social events that went along with the business. But, she was young, having fun, and feeling very powerful and successful with all the money she was making.

Meli’s kids don’t seem to feel that she neglected them.  After all, they had time to go to Disneyland, the Zoo, and other places during the week when all the other mothers were at work.  So, they didn’t mind too much if she worked weekends because of her schedule.  They often helped her by stuffing envelopes, going with her to knock on doors, and sitting with her at Open Houses when she couldn’t get a sitter.

Both of Meli’s children are now happily married, well-adjusted adults with kids of their own.  Her daughter has chosen to be a stay-at-home mom and is expecting her third child.  Her son is the entrepreneur in the family.  After a brief foray into the real estate business himself, he is now the proud owner of two successful businesses.

Meli’s Top Tips:
Learn when to turn off the phone and learn the difference between merely important and urgent.  Take those vacations and make your days off sacrosanct.  It may take you a little longer to reach your business goals, but you’ll be happier for it!

Reminder #2:  Mom entrepreneurs can take advantage of their flexible schedule to share great times with their children…

Robbie Motter of Contacts Unlimited was a single parent who raised her three children (who are now grown).  Robbie loves being an entrepreneur.  Robbie says, “If I had known then what I know now, I would have left the corporate world earlier so I could have had the quality time with my older children that I had with my younger daughter.”  Robbie took a break from work each day when her daughter came home from school for about an hour and a half so that they could spend time together before returning to work and while her daughter completed her homework.

Robbie recalls that it was she had some hard challenges when she first became an entrepreneur.  It took awhile for things to start to move forward and times were tough.  Her two older children were not too supportive at first, as they were use to the big corporate paycheck. Many times they told her to go get a regular job, but she was determined to make it work.  Before long it did, and they truly loved having her work from her home office.  They shared great times together.

Robbie used to have her children help in the business.  They stuffed envelopes or jobs like that, and they loved it. As they got older, Robbie let them answer the phone so they could learn the right way to do that.

Robbie’s son is an entrepreneur.  He and a partner have owned a company for 18 years.  Her two girls are not entrepreneurs–they like having a big paycheck, the perks, and all the benefits that a corporate job provides.  Today all of her children are very successful, own beautiful homes, and make a fantastic salary with lots of benefits.  They do not take their work home with them; they leave it at the office and come home to be totally with the family.

Robbie’s Top Tips:
When you run your business, and if you work from home, make your children feel a part of it. When it is family time, stop worrying about business and give your children quality time.

4 Strategies You Can Use to Build Momentum for Home Business Right Away

Be honest with yourself. Are you one of those people that believe that you just don’t have the time to get your home business up and running? You’re not alone. Many people I talk to claim they have too much to do and not enough time to do it. They wind up defeating themselves and their business looses momentum and suffers.

Full time jobs, family obligations, maintaining health and too many other distractions are the main reasons for not building momentum for their business. You can wind up feeling that your life is spent catering to every one else’s obligations.

However, I have some good news! You can find and maximize time to build momentum for your home business. All you need is to find time and commit to use that time for your home business only. Try the following strategies to make your home based business flourish.

Document Your Daily Routine

The first thing you will need to do find a quiet place and write down your schedule. Document the start and end time on events like getting ready for work, driving your kids to school, your commute to your day job, gym time and any other weekly commitments you have. Don’t forget to include weekends and family time (this is most important).

After completing this exercise you should have a good visual of what your work week looks like. You should see openings in your week. Make your goal easy: try to find two hours you can commit to spend on your business. You should be able to re-prioritize some time.

Stay with the Schedule You Created and Re-Evaluate

The next thing you need to do is stick with your schedule. This can be tough because you are creating a new habit.  Once you get the hang of your new routine, you should always re-evaluate your schedule. You may be able to find more time to spend on your home business.

Sticking with your schedule means you need to discipline yourself to work. This means that you have to find a way after work, after little league games, after dinner and after putting the kids to bed.

Don’t Forget Your Family.

Spending time with my family is always a top priority for me. I have young children so I try to focus on the business when my kids are in bed. I find that using the evening hours is best for me to spend on my home business. It seems to be the most quite part of the day.

If you have to use your family time to spend on your business, make sure you communicate with your family so they have an expectation of what you are doing. However, I would recommend that you set a time limit so you can spend that time you want with your family. This will provide balance for you.

Embrace Distractions

As we all know life also throws us off schedule. Try your best to embrace that fact instead of fighting it. If your child stays up late, focus on helping your child quiet down and go to sleep. Try not to focus on what you could be doing. Don’t worry. The work will still be there when you are ready.

If you have to stay late at your day job, then choose to work late. Usually, you’ll find that it is better just to focus on one thing at a time. You’ll be more efficient and effective. Having a clear and guilt free mind while working on your business is most productive.

To handle new ideas that can distract you while you are working, keep an MP3 Recorder handy so if an idea comes up you can record it or write down the idea in a notebook. You can always prioritize those thoughts at a later time. You will also find that you are using less energy dealing with distractions instead of fighting them.

So there is good news when it comes to finding time to work on your own business. Don’t despair and don’t get frustrated. Just remember that you have total control of your time and you alone can change your habits to build your businesses momentum.

3 Things You Can Do to Help Yourself Be Successful In Life

Do you define success as having a lot of money? Or do you define success as being able to live your life the way you want too? Either way, they are both good things to strive for. We all know not everyone can be successful as there are checks and balances for winners and losers. Using custom silicone wristbands with strong slogans can help you keep motivated all the time.

I truly feel most people want to be in on the winning side. However, we always run into people that remain in the same place in life. Do you feel you are you one of those people? Obviously if you’re a person looking and trying to better your life you want to be on the winning side.

Being successful can mean many things. My definition of being successful is accomplishing what you intend to do. For example, I always intended to have a family and I now have a great family. I consider myself very successful.

Success does not mean to look better than the people around you. I believe it comes from within and how you perceive yourself and your life. Success is something that you do not have to show on a daily basis. Success is how you live your life.

Here are three tips on being successful:

Create a Vision of Yourself

Having a vision is the first and most critical step of any successful plan. Create a vision of what you intend to do. Write down how you want to see yourself 1 year from now. Think about how your life will look. Having a vision will help you focus on what you want to achieve.

Take up Good Habits and Break Unproductive Habits

Always read and learn about the world around you. Think an opportunity through and do not be impulsive when an opportunity presents itself.  Eat well and exercise. After all everything you do starts from within. Be in good health and don’t take your good health for granted. Add fitness to your life. Learn to handle distractions as there will plenty of distractions to address. Don’t use distractions as an excuse to fail.

Enjoy the Chase

Enjoy your road to success. The path will be filled with adversity. Keep your sense of humor because you may experience very tough challenges along the way. Be responsible, try and control your time by being as effective as possible.

Remember success is not free and it does take sacrifice. The price you pay is time and effort. Success is hard but rewarding (even during the chase for success). To be successful you have to work hard, educate yourself and maybe have a little luck on your side.
